Location: 750 5th Avenue btwn. 57th and 58th Streets, New York, NY

Built in 1928 by the architects Buchman & Kahn, the elegant Bergdorf Goodman building houses one of the world's most well-known department stores. In the fall of 2000, Aurora Lampworks completed restoration of the exterior lighting sconces which flank each entrance to the store. The large fixtures were removed from the site and brought to our workshop where they underwent extensive cleaning and were upgraded from 1 to 5 lamps. Several fixtures were missing top and bottom decorative elements, including stems, requiring replication and finishing to match.
